So we are assuming you have already gotten your awesome gamer clothes<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/a> and are sitting comfy in your sweet new hoodie! Now that is taken care of, what about the other little things that make those long gaming sessions and your environment that bit better? Here is a list of 5 things we find improve our gaming setup.<\/p>

Large Mouse Pad<\/h3>

How large is up to you, personally if I can cover my desk in it then it is just about big enough. If you have ever experienced your mouse slipping off your mouse pad mid game, then you understand how important it is to have a large mouse pad. You can find a huge range of sizes, some to fit your desk, some that are just large enough to avoid slippage, but it makes all the difference during game play.<\/p>

Headset Stand<\/h3>

It may not seem that important, but it does extend the life of your headset. All gamers nowadays use headsets whether you are on PC or console, and have a neat place to put it at the end of a gaming session just makes sense. It allows the headset to hold its shape over time and it stops your headset cluttering up your desk when you are not using it. Trust me, it is worth it.<\/p>

Cable Tidy<\/h3>

If you are a neat freak, then you have already invested in some but cable tidies are a lifesaver. Cable tidies come in all shapes, sizes and colours and they allow you to clean up those wires that just seem to pop out of ever nook and cranny. In the same vein, you can get under desk shelves, I have 2 under my desk and I use them to hold my extensions cord so it is not trailing along the floor. Vacuuming it much easier.<\/p>

Lighting<\/h3>

This is not really a necessity but it does make a huge difference. Yes, it does look cool and make your room feel like a proper gamer\u2019s cave, but it can also be good for those long gaming sessions. More subtle lighting is easier on the eyes and stops you playing in the dark or being distracted by glare from a large overhead light. LED strips are a great shout, they can be placed anywhere, like around the edge of a desk or the corner surrounding the ceiling. They can be controlled, not only the colour but the intensity. They can also be very energy efficient, depending on what ones you buy.<\/p>

Gaming Chair<\/h3>

Not just any chair, a good chair. A good gaming chair can be an expensive investment but It is worth it in the long run. Comfort and good back support are essential even if you only get a good gaming session in every so often. There is a huge selection of gaming chairs out there and I advise doing research. Your older self will thank you.<\/p>
