An amazing show adapted from an incredible video game. It is not the only one out there. Video Game adaptations have been around for awhile. Sadly, they tend to be more misses than hits but let\u2019s take a look at some that may be worth your time.<\/p><p><\/p><h3>Arcane: League of Legends<\/h3><div data-youtube-video=\"\"><iframe class=\"youtube\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" allowfullscreen=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fXmAurh012s\"><\/iframe><\/div><p>Arcane is an adult animated steampunk, action-adventure series based on the ever popular game League of Legends from Riot Games. Like most of the shows on this list, you do not need to have played the game to follow along.  Arcane dives into the delicate balance between the rich, utopian city of Piltover and the seedy, oppressed underground of Zaun. The story primarily focuses on sisters Vi and Jinx who find themselves on opposing sides of a conflict over clashing convictions and arcane technologies. We are eagerly awaiting a second season.<\/p><p><\/p><h3>Cyberpunk: Edgerunners<\/h3><div data-youtube-video=\"\"><iframe class=\"youtube\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" allowfullscreen=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/JtqIas3bYhg\"><\/iframe><\/div><p>Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is set in Night City, a self-reliant metropolis located in the Free State of California that suffers from extensive corruption, cybernetic addiction, and gang violence. The story is centered around David,  whom, after losing everything in a drive-by shooting, makes the choice to survive on the wrong side of the law as an <em>edgerunne<\/em>r, a high-tech, black-market mercenary also known as a <em>cyberpunk<\/em>.<\/p><p><\/p><h3>The Witcher<\/h3><div data-youtube-video=\"\"><iframe class=\"youtube\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" allowfullscreen=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ndl1W4ltcmg\"><\/iframe><\/div><p>Henry Cavill anyone? That is enough to get most people interested but The Witcher Series is a true-to-game watch that will show fans of the game a good time. Geralt of Rivia, a brooding professional monster hunter for hire also known as a <em>witcher<\/em>, struggles to keep his humanity in a medieval dark fantasy world ruled by corrupt kings, queens and mages, where poverty, violence and intolerance are rampant, normal humans are sometimes worse than actual monsters. Now, I know, we are now aware Henry Cavill is being replaced by Liam Hemsworth as Geralt. Wether he can do the character justice remains to be seen. Maybe we should ask Miley Cyrus what she thinks?<\/p><p><\/p><h3>Castlevania<\/h3><div data-youtube-video=\"\"><iframe class=\"youtube\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" allowfullscreen=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/z0kaYs8SbMs\"><\/iframe><\/div><p>Castlevania is a dark-fantasy anime series based on the classic Japanese game of the same name by Konami. The synopsis: When his human wife is burned at the stake after being falsely accused of witchcraft, the vampire Count Vlad Dracula \u021aepe\u0219 declares all the people of Wallachia will pay with their lives. He summons an army of demons which overruns the country, causing the people to live lives of fear and distrust. To combat this, the outcast monster hunter Trevor Belmont takes up arms against Dracula's forces, aided by the magician Sypha Belnades and Dracula's dhampir son Alucard. <\/p><p>A very entertaining series and, in my humble opinion, an incredible first episode that takes a unique look at the infamous Dracula. <\/p><p><\/p><h3>Halo<\/h3><div data-youtube-video=\"\"><iframe class=\"youtube\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" allowfullscreen=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5KZ3MKraNKY\"><\/iframe><\/div><p>A staple in gaming, Halo is the kind of game even non-gamers know about. So it was about time they made a series about it. Halo is set in a 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant. Executive producer Kiki Wolfkill revealed that the series is a standalone story that takes place within its own \"<em>Silver Timeline<\/em>\" that is separate from and inspired by the core canon. Although a standalone story, the atmosphere of the game is alive and well in the Halo Series, so true fans will get a kick out of it.<\/p><p><\/p><h3>The Last of Us<\/h3><div data-youtube-video=\"\"><iframe class=\"youtube\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" allowfullscreen=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uLtkt8BonwM\"><\/iframe><\/div><p>Of course it is on the list. In my humble opinion, the best adaptation of a video game currently available. The game itself feels like you are playing a movie, so it was a natural progression. Based on the 2013 game from Naughty Dog, the series is set in 2023, twenty years into a pandemic caused by a mass fungal infection, which causes its hosts to transform into zombie-like creatures and collapses society. The series follows Joel (played by Pedro Pascal), a smuggler tasked with escorting the immune teenager Ellie (played by Bella Ramsey) across a post-apocalyptic United States.
